Meet the Instructors!
Kirby is the Owner and Artistic Director of Starstruck Academy. She has been dancing since the age of four and has over thirty years dancing experience. Kirby earned her B.A. in Secondary Education from Youngstown State University. She is a National award winning solo and group competitive dancer and dance scholarship winner. She was also a member of the 2004 Grand Prix de Espana US National Dance Team and World Cup Champions, member of the 2005 Grand Prix de Italia US National Dance Team and World Cup Champions, and Miss Dance Ohio 2004. Kirby is a former Lakeview High School Cheerleader and former member of the Y.S.U. Dance Ensemble. She is a former 8th and 9th grade Cheerleading advisor for Lakeview High School. Kirby has found her true dream in her dance Academy since it's opening in 2009 and loves working with young dancers. Kirby’s competition team has progressed over the years and her dancers have won many regional and national overall awards. She is recognized for her choreography at competitions as well as receiving the Directors Award for technical excellence, choreography, Studio Sportsmanship, Entertainment, Best Costumes and the FDC Judges Choice Award. Kirby feels so blessed to not only be able to teach, but to touch all these young children’s hearts. Kirby looks forward to many more wonderful years to come with her business.
Nikki started dancing at the age of four and has over thirty years of dance experience. Nikki is a former regional and national award winning dancer. She has won numerous awards and scholarships at dance competitions. She was named young choreographer of the year for 2003 and 2004. Nikki earned a B.A. in Education from Y.S.U. and a B.A. in Business Management and Marketing from Kent State University. She is currently a teacher in the Warren City School District. Nikki is also the former Warren G. Harding majorette advisor. She is loved by students of all ages.
Hannah is a 2018 graduate of Warren G Harding High School where she was a majorette in the Warren G. Harding Marching Band for two years. Hannah has been in the dance world since 2004 and joined Starstruck Dance Academy’s Competition Dance Team in 2012. During her time on the team, she excelled to become an award-winning dancer and title winner. Hannah has had the opportunity to learn from many dance professionals such as Alex Wong, Fik-Shun, Erik Yanez, and Gaby Diaz. Hannah formed a passion for dance that was enhanced and encouraged by her mentors at Starstruck Dance Academy. Hannah has been a member of the National Dance Education Organization since 2018. Hannah has been teaching with Starstruck since 2018 and has choreographed many award-winning dances with emphasis in jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. She enjoys sharing her passion for dance and working with this group of dancers she considers family. Hannah has been an amazing addition to the staff of Starstruck Dance Academy.
